Description:
Safeway Jordan was founded in
1987 as a pioneer in retailing services. In 1991, the Masri family
purchased the company. The success of the flagship store in Shmesani led
to a rapid expansion throughout the country. Today, Safeway operates a
total of six full-service stores, one wholesale center, and two new
Safeway Express convenience stores in Jordan. Still trading under the
established Safeway brand name, six stores are full-service operations,
one is a wholesale center, and two are Safeway Express convenience
stores. All stores are open seven days a week and offer a range of
supermarket items, perishables, and general merchandise.
