Abdul Hameed Shoman Public Library was
established in 1986 in concordance with the objectives of Abdul Hameed
Shoman Foundation, which espouse support for scientific research,
institution of a modern library that would include various sources of
information in different branches of knowledge, and making these sources
available to researchers and reading public.

The Knowledge and Information subscribes to over
twenty British periodicals and newspapers. The collection includes the
latest books on a range of subjects including management, information
technology, English language and literature, fiction and general topics.
There are about 1000 home videos which are suitable for family
entertainment, a wide range of DVDs, audiocassettes are also available
along with live television news from BBC and free internet access. As
part of your membership, you will also have access to some electronic
resources for your study or research.

The Jordan University Library (JUL) was
established in 1962. The total area of this library is about 10,500 m2
and the area of the reading rooms is estimated at 3,500 m2. It includes
about 96 employees each of whom offers services to about 100 students
and faculty members daily. Its collection boasts of approx. 652,570
volumes in all branches of knowledge in various languages. JUL has a
Computer Application Center which offers computer based information
services such as on-line search, using the DIALOG system and the
available CD-ROM databases in various disciplines.
